Minutes of November 6th
G'day all Here are the minutes for this months meeting (second attempt - lost the first draft)
Rob G
Rob advised via email on Monday that he was resigning from his post as chariman with immediate effect. As acting secretary, I conducted the meeting in the absence of a chairman and suggested to all present that as we are so late into the year that we continue without a chairman until the next AGM when a new board would be elected. All present agreed. On behalf of all the members, thank you Rob for all your support and contribution whilst chairman.
Website
Well it's finally on the move with the assistance of one Mr. Rich Bone. Rich has started to add members cars but is having difficulty identifying whose car belongs to who. If you can let Rich have your pictures or identify them for him he will be sure to add to the site. A small write up would also assist.
Vista Print
Unfortunately, we was unable to get an update from Graeme as he had not arrived before we went to dinner. Graeme, perhaps you could give us an update by return?
And by the wonders of modern technology....
To all concerned - I did indeed have a Vista print update ready but as I was not attending the meal I was not given the opportunity to deliver these. I can get what we want for the £80 budget. I will go ahead and create the flyer and send out an email copy for proof by the members and proceed with ordering when ready. I will keep the reciept and charge back to the club if that is ok with everyone?
Ace cafe was a great event - I will try and sort an update for the Jan meeting.

Events for 2008
Julie passed around the attached dates for our 2008 calander excluding proposed trips to include go karting and Ace Cafe. The best price we could find for go karting was £45.00 per head, however Jason advised he had details for a track in Polesworth that cost around £30.00 per head and he advised he would pass this information on to Julie. I also attach a link to the
Ace Cafe
and looking at their diary for 2008 they have a variety of events. I believe that Graeme visited there recently and perhaps could provide some feedback (although it appears that a lot of events take place during the week which could be a problem for a lot of people, myself included)? We are also awaiting confirmation of the date for the next trip to the dogs. This will be confirmed asap.
AOB
The flyer's for prepared for the Classic Car show encouraged 3 visitors (maybe new members) Dan Husband, Mark Blincow and Steve Burke. Well done to all concerned.
Due to the lack of an official board, it was suggested that at least next months meeting would be held as an informal meeting. It was originally proposed that no meeting would be held in Jan but as Rob pointed out, the dates had been advertised in the 'Driver' and someone should attend just in case any visitors pitch up. I advised that I would attend.
Think that's about it - but I'm sure someone will remind me if I have missed anything out.
May you all have a very happy and peaceful Christmas and a prosperous 2008.
Rgds
Mick
